The Infants School on Rectory road in Clowne, where it all began in 1956. Originally an all girls school
it became "mixed" after the war. The photograph shows the "Bell" on the roof but this was removed later for health and safety
reasons and is believed to be stored at the County Council Offices in Matlock.

This photo shows children crossing the road from the "Spot" furniture shop to the main entrance. In the background you
can see the Nat West bank and the Nags Head pub and further on Miss Hanfords post office.
